Man, i'm a terrible artist. i haven't drawn any for a few months now, i feel so bad about it... sorry guys. along with the fact that life keeps going faster and it's hard to keep up, i just don't have the urge to draw anymore, not because i don't want to, but because it feels like my good art is just a sham: pure beginner's luck. it's like i feel unworthy to post any art, it's a terrible feeling...

Oh well, enough of that depressing crap. i need help, (as you can see) i'm having trouble with the quality of my art. if possible, could someone help me with my art, like, if i have question, you can answer them without making me feel stupid. i think this might help me by having someone saying i'm doing SOMETHING right for once, without making me look down on myself. please feel free to say if you could help me with this situation. Thanks in advanced :iconlaplz:

Also, i've been looking into digital art, does anyone know of a good, less-than-100-dollars tablet i could use as a beginner, since a mouse is near impossible for making good quality digital art

(If anyone is interested in helping me start a tumblr story blog, please send me a note and i'll give details...)

I bought my wacom bamboo splash for $80. Real satisfied.

As for art quality, try shifting the focus away from that. If your art is focused toward jokes, a story, or answers on tumblr, they can be appreciated even while poorly drawn. I think it's real important to not have quality be top priority when just starting. Try to improve that, but make fun your top priority.

To improve artistically, what I do is I look at artists whose art I love and I pick out details about their styles that I enjoy such as the way noses or ears are curved or how the eyes are drawn and I try to add that element to my next drawings. If you're having trouble on any element, figure out how others did it correctly.

And draw often. What I've been doing lately was I started an applejack ask blog where I purposefully keep myself from going past quick sketches. It's effortless and quick and I love drawing the character. I go to draw for this blog whenever I don't feel like drawing anything else to just pump out quick sketchy answers and entertain.

*TLDR:* Focus on content rather than quality, learn all you can from other artists, and draw often.
